Rene Styliara was born in November 1994 in Athens.

During her teenage years, she pursues a professional career in basketball. She reaches the A1 division and becomes a member of the Greek national team. Nonetheless, writing wins her over by far, and she abandons sport.

She makes her debut in Letters at the tender age of 18 with her collection of poems, 'Discreetly'. The works' Once and for all I can', 'You were my person', and the 'Gold ticket' follow. Each becomes a bestseller.

In October 2022, she returns to the world of writing with two more books: a) A love without intention, a poetic album with black and white photographs and b) a 2023 diary with her handwritten verses.

Along with her fictional writing, she also works on songwriting, with her lyrics performed by famous Greek artists and big production companies.

In 2021 Rene Styliara co-created, together with the internationally renowned street artist Insane51, twelve huge murals with his designs, adorned with her lyrics, in especially chosen parts of Greece, which have been showcased in 12-part series by the National Greek Broadcaster, ERT. The subject matter of the murals was curated by Rene, with direct references to ancient Greece and its mythology.

She is unprecedented in Greece in using her handwritten lyrics in social media posts, creating something fragile and romantic in a cold, digital world represented by images. This innovation has brought her many fans and others who have tried to achieve something similar.

Her vast success - actually winning over a very tough audience which was not used to reading - owes much to her way of using simple and easily understood words to render profound meanings. This is her philosophy; you needn't make things difficult to persuade others about their value.

She now has a sizeable fanatical following of readers who don't just follow her as they would any famous persona but actually because they trust her because she expresses - as they confess - everything which they can't fit into words.

For many years, she has been offering solid pieces of her soul on social media (Facebook, Instagram). She has been fiercely sharing thoughts, feelings, snippets of life… "I am writing to you to give you strength through my weakness. And you are always there, embracing my words generously and offering them shelter', she says.

And so life continues, through moments, through words…
